Panic Attacks: The Causes
Panic attacks are a debilitating condition which affect millions of people, but little is still known about them since the causes and triggers can vary so widely between people.
Some of the known causes include:
- Stress
- Genetics
- Changes in the brain function
- Major life changes
- Trauma
It is still not know how many people suffer from panic attacks as so many cases go unreported. In fact, a large majority of people who suffer from attacks are not even aware that it is a known medical disorder. They simply think there is something wrong with only them and that no one else suffers from it. In reality, we probably all know at least one person who suffers from anxiety or panic attacks.
Anxiety seems to be more common in women than in men and usually starts in the late teenage years, right up to the early 30′s.
Some people will only experience a handful of attacks in a lifetime, but for others it is a life changing condition which can alter their personality and their way of life.
Stress
Because stress is one of the major underlying factors for anxiety, it is always recommended that a person lowers their stress levels as a priority, when trying to treat the condition.
The less stressed and tense you are, the more likely you will be able to relax in your trigger situations and environments.
Deep breathing exercises are a common technique used to ward off panic attacks. People also try meditation and other natural techniques in order to relax themselves, improve their confidence and change their outlook on life.
Although there is no one cure for panic attacks, many people have eliminated them from their life for good.
One excellent guide that is written by a former sufferer points out EXACTLY what you should do, step by step, to eliminate panic attacks from your life.
Panic Away will show you how to get your life back, allow your true personality shine through and most of all: face your fears in your trigger situations where panic attacks formerly occurred. Once you regain your sense of control then you will never have to experience anxiety again.
